There are two types of searches that can be used in IFACnet, namely Basic Search and Advanced Search. The basic search is the default when you start searching for information.
Basic Search
The Basic Search allows users to search all documents in the database. Simply type in one or more search terms (the words or phrases that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box, then click on the IFACnet Search button or press the Tab or Enter key. After entering your search query IFACnet produces a results page: a list of results related to the search terms, ranked with the most relevant results appearing on the first page, and so on.
Advanced Search
The Advanced Search helps you find documents that match specific criteria. The options you choose apply only to the current search. To use advanced search, click on the Advanced Search link below the Search box. You will be presented with the following options:

Note: The more criteria you use for your search, the fewer results will be returned.
